He sang lead vocals on the band’s debut single, “What Makes You Beautiful,” released in the United Kingdom in September 2011. Styles made his solo debut in 2017 with the dramatic song “Sign of the Times,” followed by his self-titled album, which debuted at No. 1. Fans had to wait two years for his next single, “Lights Up,” released in October 2019. His second solo album, Fine Line, included his first No. 1 single, “Watermelon Sugar.”
