Personal Growth Tips
With age and time comes a lot of experiences and realizations, which often push us in certain directions we never intended on taking. As time goes by, circumstances change and we often find ourselves in situations we never thought we could end up in. Nevertheless, we have to deal with those circumstances and we emerge from those experiences slightly altered, whether for the better or the worst is a different story and depends on many factors. However, although such experiences and circumstances may not be in our hands, that does not mean that we have absolutely no control over our personal development. It takes a lot of grit and determination to undergo the painful process of personal growth intentionally however, it is something that needs to be done in order to improve in all aspects. Here are a few tips for personal growth and none of them are as simple as they may seem at first glance.
Avoid negative thoughts: Easier said than done. People who naturally tend to overthink and assume the worst out of every situation often do not choose to do so however, after the initial horrible thoughts, we can choose to think about the positive aspects or simply make peace with the fact that this is it is going to be from now on, if there are no positive aspects to the situation. This is a choice which one needs to make and with time, you will or those around you will certainly notice the difference in your thought process.
Be resilient: Once you have made a decision or chosen a side which you know is correct in every single way (morally, ethically, etc), stick to it. Do not engage in self doubt and swing like a pendulum. Make sure you are aligned with your moralities and be resilient in the face of all challenges, because there will be many in a life.
Celebrate victories: No matter how small or seemingly insignificant in the long run or the bigger picture, your victories need to be celebrated and highlighted so at least you yourself can remember how far you have come and what you have achieved.
